Principal's Message From Robin Dupont

Greetings,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Wadsworth Elementary School. I am convinced that this will be an exciting year for you here because we pride ourselves on providing an excellent education to all students. We do this by customizing our educational program to meet the needs of each and every student. Our focus is on making learning addictive, challenging, fun and relevant to the real world. We know how important it is for our students to make a year’s worth of academic growth this year so we will do everything in our power to ensure their success.

Parents, we want and need you to become our partners because you are a key component in determining your child’s success in school. Research shows that students of involved parents score higher, go farther in school, and ultimately achieve higher paying jobs than those students of uninvolved parents. There are many opportunities to become an active member of our A+ School such as volunteering in the classroom or other areas of the school, joining the Parent-Teacher Organization, the School/Title One Advisory Council, or attending a variety of fun and educational afterschool activities.

Important information about the policies and procedures of our school can be found in the student handbook which will be given to each student the first week of school. Parents and students, please review this handbook together and if you have any questions, feel free to contact us. We use planners to help students with organizational skills and to encourage on-going communication between home and school. Students should write down homework assignments, unfinished work to be completed, and other important information to be shared with parents.

We are excited about the upcoming school year and welcome your support and participation. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of our students with you throughout the year.

Who's Who
in American History?

Good Day Everyone,

I would like you to participate in a fun, engaging lesson for the students at Wadsworth Elementary School. We want to make the past come alive for our students by having famous people visit our school. (That's where you come in.) You are free to spend as much or as little time as you have available with us on Valentine's Day, February 14th, participating in this interactive history lesson.

For your informatio, attached you will find a description of the activity along with the requirements and a list of all the historic figures already spoken for. Please choose someone not on the list to represent, make sure you know about the accomplishments of your person and put your thinking cap on to create an outfit. It's that simple.

When you arrive at WES to sign in, our receptionist will give you a score sheet to keep track of which classes have correctly identified you and were able to share your contribution to our country/world. Please come with a clipboard an a pencil if you have it. I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have and hope you will decide to join us.
